The Vision

Picture a sunny Sunday brunch where you and your friends, sipping mimosas, found themselves swapping stories of triumphs and challenges unique to their journey as Black women. Amidst clinking glasses and shared laughter, the idea sprouted like a seed in fertile soil – why not create a space where more Black women could gather, share, and shine?

The Process

At Cocoa Clique, we believe in the power of community. Our events and activities are crafted with care to cater to the diverse interests and experiences of Black women. Whether it's lively brunches where conversations flow as freely as the mimosas, book clubs delving into the works of inspirational Black authors, or wellness workshops that prioritize self-care, each gathering is designed to nourish the mind, body, and spirit.

Cocoa Clique is a private social organization for Black women in Arizona only.
Though we do curate some budget friendly events like yoga sessions and our book club which are free to join, majority of the events will cost an entry free. In the process of curating an event, it is important to acknowledge that costs are integral to ensuring a successful and memorable occasion. From venue rentals and equipment procurement to catering services and promotional materials, each component requires financial investment. Becoming a consistency attendee will give you access to join our Premium Club, which provides discounts to events and exclusive invites to non-public events.
The events typically take place throughout central Phoenix. This can also include Scottsdale, Tempe, Glendale, Ahwatukee, or even Chandler, depending on the needs of the event. We do our best to plan events around the metro Phoenix area.
Yes! Executive members have the responsibility to help create events and manage the organization. If you are interested in becoming an Executive Member, email us at business@cocoaclique.com.
We create a range of events such as picnics, brunch, pool parties, paint n sips, yoga, dinners, wine tasting and more! We also have a book club which can be followed on our instagram page: @cocoaclique
